Increasing the Value of Healthcare in Louisiana
Our goal is to advance the Triple Aim—reducing the cost of care, achieving better clinical outcomes, and enhancing the patient experience—through collaborative, data-driven decision-making with a strong focus on population health management.
Transparency & Information Access
Transparency in healthcare is crucial to improving its value to patients and employers. There can be many challenges in obtaining information on cost, quality, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. We aim to bridge the information gap to accelerate the transition to value based care.
Networking & Knowledge Sharing
The Coalition convenes employers of all sizes and structures throughout the state of Louisiana into one singular alliance. Members serve as trusted resources for one another, sharing experiences and best practices, and providing advice among peers. We coordinate networking opportunities throughout the year and encourage members from all sectors to share their unique perspective on the state of healthcare.
Creating Power in Numbers
No single employer can tackle healthcare reform alone. To make meaningful progress, we must all row together, combining our efforts to create collective influence and drive innovation and policy change.
Serving Employers
Employers in Louisiana no longer have to stand alone. By forging new partnerships and gaining access to data and resources, employers have the power and knowledge to make a difference.
- Network with peers at Louisiana’s only organization dedicated to improving the affordability and quality (value) of employer-sponsored healthcare.
- Access to educational sessions, webinars and other sessions at no cost.
- Access to employer-only resources and toolkits on topics of interest including value based care, PBMs, vendor management
- Connect with other healthcare stakeholders including health systems of all sizes, insurance carriers, consultants and national thought leaders.

We know that we cannot solve all of healthcare’s problems. We aim to make incremental improvements where possible to bring more value to our organizations and the employees we insure.
Shaping Healthcare Policy
The Employer Coalition has a significant opportunity in shaping healthcare policy. The Advisory Council is exploring avenues including but not limited to:
Representing employer interests to advocate for policy that can improve the quality and affordability of healthcare for employees.
Working with state and federal lawmakers to develop and/or shape legislation that positively impacts membership.
Sharing data and educating legislators on healthcare related topics impacting member companies and the employees they insure.
Working toward an All-Payer Claims Database (APCD) to assist purchasers with the inputs necessary to make informed decisions in healthcare purchasing.
Advocating for and driving stakeholders toward value-based care.
